Welcome to the webpages of the Morality & Intergroup Relations (MIR) Research Lab in Psychology at Michigan State University. The lab is directed by Dr. Carlos D. Navarrete, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. Research in the lab adopts an evolutionary perspective to the study of of the intersection of mind, morality and intergroup processes. Current projects explore the links among intergroup bias, coalitional and sexual aggression,  moral judgment and moral behavior. Methods include experiments that employ questionnaires, physiological measurement, latency response tasks, and  behavior in immersive, virtual environments (or "virtual reality").
