Thanks for your interest in study participation in the Intergroup Relations Laboratory at Michigan State University. The study content should be of considerable interest to you, as the topics touch on issues such as: (a) mate choice (b) how the mind is connected to the body, and (c) personality and social attitudes about other people and other groups. Several studies employ the use of virtual reality environments using 3-D models.
We currently run our own sign-up system. To participate, you must complete a series of online questionnaires in our PRE-SCREEN, for which you will receive two HPR credits. You may then be eligible to participate in our lab experiments to receive even more HPR credit, or cash payment.
To get started on the PRE-SCREEN, follow these three easy steps!
1. Follow the link below to our Account Request page, where you'll enter you name, email, and your HPR ID as your "User ID". This is very important.
2. Click "Request Account", check your email, and follow the link to our sign in page where you will use your HPR ID as your user id again, and enter the password that was assigned to you in the email (you may change it once you're in).
3. Upon successful login, you MUST complete the PRE-SCREEN. This will take between 45-60 minutes for which you will receive two (2) HPR credits.
Remember, after you complete the PRE-SCREEN, you should be able to view studies for which you are eligible. If you do not see any studies listed, this doesn't mean that you are necessarily ineligible, but that we may not currently have one available. Please check back again after a few days to see if a study has been added in which you may participate. And, thanks again for your interest.
